Shot on Irix: Irix lenses on the new Freefly System Ember 5K 600fps Camera

Tyler Johnson has been fortunate to play with some world-class cameras and this time, he tested the Freefly Systems Ember 5K 600fps camera! The sensor is so unbelievably sharp at 5K, it looks like 6K or 8K! Perfect for our Irix Cine lenses, which can handle up to 8K. The image has a crazy amount of information, and you can push it so hard in color. The Ember puts out Pro Res 422 files so you can dive straight into editing after the shoot. The processing power and video playback on the camera are second to none, ramping in and out of your incredible moments with ease and style. When he reached out to us to ask if we could lend him the Cine 15mm T2.6 and Cine 150mm T3.0 Macro lenses to test out this camera, we knew this was the perfect opportunity to showcase the quality of our lenses. Our Sony E mount was the perfect fit for this powerful camera. 

This video was conformed to 29.97, therefore, losing some frames/slow motion. 1 second of footage on Ember is 25 seconds, and after conforming, 20 seconds.

95% of the video was created with our Irix Cine lenses.
