Our Irix Edge Full ND1000 filters reduce the light that reaches the camera’s sensor. By doing this, you can extend the exposure time and thus get the effect of „blurred motion”. Water, clouds, cars and other moving objects will give you a dramatic blur effect. You will be able to use fast lenses such as f/1.4, f/1.8 (and even faster ones) at maximum aperture, even on a sunny day. With an extreme ND filter such as the Irix Edge 100mm ND32000, you will be able to take a picture that will only register static object, removing any moving items such as people – even in the most crowded tourist destinations.

It is universally accepted that the exposure time should be twice the number of frames per second (FPS) during video recording. So when filming at 24fps, the exposure time should be set to 1/48. All Irix Edge square filters are compatible with our Irix Edge Filter holders. The Irix Edge IFH-100-PRO filter holder comes with a built-in (removable) CPL filter and will let you use two square filters together. The holder comes with an adjustable knob to regulate the CPL.
The filter holder is compatible with square filters of 2mm and 1.1mm thickness.
