The Irix Edge Hard Graduated ND4 filter with an optical density of 0.6 provides a 2-stop reduction of light compensation with a soft transition from the top of the filter to the center. This filter helps to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. Hard Graduated Filters are helpful when photographing hard-line horizons like seascapes or savannas.
