With its optical density of only 1.5, amounting to 5 exposure stops, you can achieve striking effects without completely altering the scene. It's great for those exceptionally bright days when you want to tone down the harshness and perhaps add just a bit of motion to soften the overall scene.

Like all Irix Edge circular filters, it manufactured with high quality optical glass and treated with our waterproof, oil repellent NANO coating. That means you can use it in harsh conditions as well as worry less about fingerprints and water stains.

Last, but not least, because it's a screw-in filter, There's no chance for light to get between it and the lens.
