Creativity, ideas and effort put into a photograph would be nothing without the right lens. Thanks to many years of experience in optical design, our lenses are characterized by their excellent resolution and minimal distortion (2%) and almost no vignetting. The Irix 15mm f/2.4 lens consists of as many as 15 elements arranged in 11 groups: 4 refractive elements, 2 ED elements and 3 aspherical elements. Weather-Sealed

Whether you’re traversing the hot sands of the Sahara or the frigid expanse of Antarctica – Irix lenses never back down from any challenge.
The sealing system has been designed to protect the inside of the lens from moisture, dust, and sand. Equally important, the lens does not change its dimensions during focus pulling, eliminating the risk of dirt particles getting swept into the internal structure. These properties not only allow you to work in demanding conditions, but also guarantee the cleanliness of the camera’s mirror chamber sensor.

Firefly & Blackstone
1 Lens, 2 Versions

The Irix 15mm f/2.4 comes in two versions: Firefly and Blackstone.
Firefly – Lightweight composite construction, with an embossed rubber focus ring, allowing for smooth and precise focusing. Included with the lens is a soft pouch.
Blackstone – Reinforced full-metal construction. All lens markings are engraved and filled with a UV-reactive paint enabling easy focusing in dark enviornments. Included with the lens is a hard case.

Semi-Automatic Modes

The Irix 15mm f/2.4 has a module allowing you to control the lens' iris directly from the camera. This means popular semi-automatic modes (PASM), and data recording in EXIF format are available.
The use of electronics also enables the lens to be equipped with a focus confirmation system – the camera will confirm the proper focus distance (either in the form of an icon in the viewfinder or sound), every time you set the focus correctly – it’s really easy!
Irix lenses have correction profiles that are pre-loaded and readable by software (such as Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop). This will make your shooting experience even more enjoyable.

The easiest way to focus at infinity
Infinity Click

The Irix 15mm f/2.4 has a small indentation when your focus ring reaches infinity – this enables precise, easy, and quick focusing. You will feel the exact moment when your lens sets to infinity while focusing. This is extremely useful when shooting in difficult lighting conditions (i.e. at night).

Focus Lock Ring

The Focus Lock Ring allows you to lock the focus ring in a specific position. This is especially useful when you want to maintain a specific distance to the subject (zone-focusing), or when you want to maintain perfect focus on infinity during landscape or astrophotography.

Rear Gel Filter Slot

The rear gel filter slot allows the use of Gray ND filters mounted on the rear of the lens. This is a unique feature of the Irix 15mm f/2.4 and Irix 11mm f/4.0 lenses.

Compatible with Filters

Even though this is a very wide-angle lens, we decided it should be possible to use filters. That's why we designed it with a 95mm front thread. We then created the Irix Edge 95mm filters with their ultra-slim profile to prevent vignetting.
(Of course, you can use any other 95mm filters, as well. Just be aware that they'll need to be low-profile  to avoid vignetting, due to the extremely wide angle of this lens.)

Our Irix Filter Holders have also been designed specifically for the Irix 15mm lens, so you can also use our Irix Edge Square Filter system.

Access to Filters
Unique Lens Hood Design

Our specially designed, detachable lens hood mounts easily on the front end of the lens, encircling any filter. It detaches with a quick twist and reverse mounts just as easily for storage in the included lens case.
We realized that you'd need to access filters like CPL and variable ND filters to ba able to adjust them. So we included a unique window with a sliding cover to easily reach the edge of those filters while leaving the hood in place to reduce glare.

Focus Calibration Window

Due to the specifics of focus detection in DSLR cameras based on phase detection, it may sometimes happen that the lens needs to be synced with the camera. Thanks to this special window, you can easily calibrate the lens at home using basic tools and in just 5 minutes. Fast, simple and effective!

Jared R. - Irix 15mm f/2.4 I’m impressed!
5 out of 5 stars
After a ton of reviews and hesitation I pulled the trigger. I primarily shoot interiors for real estate. The Nikon 16-35/4 I’ve been using is very soft in the edges and a good deal of bowing along the edges also. On the first outing with the Irix 15mm I was very pleased. It’s short-ish, weight is good, and most importantly the image quality is very good. The vertices are surprisingly excellent. I just lock the focus ring at infinity and shoot away. Get one!
Uwe - Irix 15mm f/2.4 Love the Infinity click
5 out of 5 stars
This lens is perfect for nightscape photography with the Milky Way. Could be a bit sharper around the edge but hey, for that price it's perfect. Also love the hyperfocal range feature to ensure foreground and stars are sharp, as well as the removable lens hood, and the ability to use regular 95mm screw on filters, and a 100mm square filter holder capable of containing a CPL in the Irix IFH-100 Pro filter holder. I use this with the wide angle version of the Focus on Stars Bahtinov mask filter from Hungary, and my stars are nice and crisp, then I switch out the focusing filter for a night pollution filter. Irix made nightscape astrophotography a whole lot more enjoyable for me with this lens.
Michael - Irix 15mm f/2.4 Fantastic ultra wide lens!!!
5 out of 5 stars
Build quality is superb. Smooth focus with clicks in at infinity. Very sharp lens out to the corners. Distortion is very well controlled. Little bit of vignetting but not bad. Easily fixable in post processing, if necessary. Very easy to use, for most my shots I set it on at infinity and set the aperture more than f5.6 to get every things in focus.

RYAN C. - Irix 15mm f/2.4 Great lens for astrophotography!
5 out of 5 stars
I purchased this lens primarily for landscape astrophotography, and hopefully for daytime landscapes as well. So far I've only had one opportunity for a night shoot, but I'm impressed. The lens is quite sharp wide open, and coma and other abberations in the corners are low. Also, the infinity click stop appears to be accurate. The build quality is high, but the lens is actually lighter than I expected. I fully expect to get a lot of great images with this lens.

Brian B. - Irix 15mm f/2.4 Great lens - sharp to the corners
4 out of 5 stars
Great lens - sharp to the corners. The only issue i have is that infinity focus is not where it should be... but there is an adjustment for that, I just haven't been able to do it correctly yet.
Emilie T. - Irix 15mm f/2.4 Gorgeous lense
5 out of 5 stars
This is my first wide angle lense. I used it on my canon 80D and Canon D classic. Lense is recommended for a full body camera but it does work well on a crop sensor too. You just get less field view. The lense fells extremely solid and well built. Love the packaging in a metal box, extra protection. It also came with a protection case. I am looking forward to see what futur lenses this new Swiss company is going to produce!
John P. - Irix 15mm f/2.4 hyper focal scale

Fast focus, ease of use, sharp images and minimal distortion for such a wide angle lens. very happy with it, would recommend.
Gary S. - Irix 15mm f/2.4 Irix 15mm Firefly
5 out of 5 stars
I bought this lens for Milky Way photography in which a fast lens is an advantage if not a must. Accurate infinity focus is critical and this lens is calibrated well right out of the box. It focuses best on stars at the full infinity setting. I've had other wide angle prime lenses that were way off in this respect. I had a bit of an issue attaching the included lens shade which didn't seem to fit properly. I contacted Irix support by email and they were very responsive. Problem solved. My

Victor G. - Irix 15mm f/2.4 Really sharp!
5 out of 5 stars
This is one of the sharpest lenses I have ever owned. Getting used to the wide angle is a bit tricky, as I have to get way closer then expected to shoot anything but landscapes. This lens works good at night, which is why I bought it.
David A. - Irix 15mm f/2.4 Not ‘tack sharp’ it’s razor sharp.
5 out of 5 stars
I’ve only had this lens a very short time and it is already one of my very favorite lenses, and I own a lot more than I care to admit. This Irix 15mm is better than ‘tack sharp’ it is razor sharp as far as I am concerned. I always get a kick out of people that review different lenses and say ‘it’s a little soft in the corners’. What rubbish. Who looks in the corners anyway. I’m certain if you look around you will find some people criticizing this lens for one reason or another. For those of us in the real world, ignore the noise. It’s simply a fabulous lens.

Great ff wide angle lens. Sharp as a tack with pleasing color rendition. My favorite wide angle for my D750 and I have several other wide lens. Great build quality and attention to detail. Like it so well thinking about buying the Irix 150 macro.
Shannon P. - Irix 15mm f/2.4 Pretty good ultra wide for the price
5 out of 5 stars
I purchased the Irix 15mm lens to do some interior photography, and it's been great. The focus lock was set to infinity right away without me having to do any calibration, and with focus peaking in my Sony A7rii, I haven't missed the autofocus. Distortion is surprisingly minimal, and what is there is easily fixed in Lightroom. It's been pretty sharp, and I'm very happy with my purchase.
JOSHUA H. - Irix 15mm f/2.4 Value can't be beat
5 out of 5 stars
The way I look at this lens is ROI - for the price it simply can't get any better. Beautiful landscape and astro shots with minimal distortions. For the artistic bokeh it's not the best but gives a nice subdued softness.
FAN P. - Irix 15mm f/2.4 Best budget astrophotography lens

I was going to buy the Rokinon/Samyang 14mm lens for milkyway shots until I discovered this lens. With only (&) more than a Rokinon, this is still a cheap lens, however, I believe it is better in everyway (at least according to the specs). Some said that the infinity mark is usually not very accurate, but at least mine is pretty accurate for stars. I have only taken it out once for a milkyway shot (cloudy all the time in the midwest!) and very happy with the results. I am only planning to use

Love using this IRIX 15 f/2.5 lens with the FTZ adapter on my Z6. It's super easy to manually focus. It has the connections to let you control aperture and you get full EXIF data. It's super sharp, easy, and fun to use with weather sealing to boot . All of that for a very reasonable price !

Tried it on my Canon RP with Canon RF-EF adapter. Impressed by the sharpness and build quality. The focus ring is very tight. I like the ability to change the aperture using my camera instead of turning a ring on the lense in competitor's lense. 15mm at f/2.8 is what I used for astrophotography. First shots using lense shown. Focus lock and infinity focus click are nice features. I like the lense hood and cap. Cap can be tricky to put on in the dark.

Ok so this lens is heavy yes. But the images I've been able to capture with Irix 15mm. Priceless. Only had this lens for 2 weeks and I have zero complaints. Bought a nisi 95mm filter for her and got to keep my v5 pro nisi system. The image is more crisp and sharp from f/4 on up but the astro photography is amazing with the f/2.4. Overall. Love love love.

I had rented this lens for a trip to the Southwest and came away very impressed with it. Adorama had it on sale and I got mine fairly quickly. UPS delayed my delivery and Adorama gave me credit for that. The IQ on this lens is phenomenal. The build quality is exceptional with features that you will not find on the major brands. It is all manual but has a focus confirmation chip. The hyperfocal scale and the "hard stop" at infinity along with the fluorescent markings are very clever ideas
Purecameras - Irix 15mm f/2.4 Really solid performer!

Upon opening this package, I was blown away by the packaging itself! Initially, there's an Irix branded box that's very stiff that gives you a quality feel, and inside that is an Irix branded tin box that houses the lens. But wait, it gets better, you open it to reveal your lens inside a stiff zip-up pouch that perfectly houses your lens. Regardless, here are my pros and cons:Pros: - Crazy Sharp- Gorgeous and Solid Metal build (feels like the Porsche of lenses)- F2.4
